Information
This project was designed as part of the 1st year of the BSc in Architecture at Cardiff University. It is located in Redcliffe Wharf in Bristol. The project features a 'Food Space' called the Mobius Greenhouse, where food is grown, consumed and recycled in the same space, featuring a closed-loop ecosystem. The project is based on sustainable design by being positionned so as to receive maximum sunlight. Furthermore, it is sensitive to its context as it takes into consideration viewlines to the Cathedral in the background so as not to obstruct it. As a result, the Mobius Greenhouse is partially burried, activating its roof as a public park. The design is also informed from the contour lines of the site, making it suitable for its location by following the topography.
