Information
This project was designed as part of the 1st year of the Masters of Architecture at Cardiff University. It is located in Llandaff in Cardiff. The project features a 'Music Space'. Inspired by the Miracle of St. David, the Patron Saint of Cardiff, who was said to make the ground rise beneath him when he would preach so that everybody could hear him, the Music Centre features a central rock-like performance theatre which gives the impression that it is hovering, similar to a miracle, above the main Lobby, where everyone can see it. The Music Centre is connected to the Cathedral through a procession way, blending the two together.
